Samuel C. Hoff Agency

I just like the look of these two old Westminster buildings, and the blue blue sky above. The Samuel C. Hoff Agency is apparently a Real Estate Office.

Training Center

The sign next to the trailer reads "Carroll County Emergency Services Training Center". It struck me as humorous when I saw this sign by the trailer. Or I should say the trailer next to the sign. The trailer is really for a new construction site, and the training center is back a road to the right.

Another December Sky

We do get some great sunsets here. Especially from Cannon Way overlooking the Diamond Hills community and the Del Myr Farm.

Brokeback Westminster

The way the fields look at this intersection of Rt 32 and 97 always reminds me of the opening shot of the film Brokeback Mountain. I'll have to try shooting this scene again on a different day when the sun is a bit higher in the sky.

Door to Nowhere

I must drive through this intersection all of the time, and this is the first time I noticed this door. I would stop by and ask the purpose of this door, but..umm...I'm not sure how to do that.

Sad Xmas Trees

This sign is just so sad. Maybe they could splurge on a new sign, but with the economy right now maybe not.

Driving home from work, I looked over and noticed the shadow of my car.

Science Diet

When I came back to my parked car, this truck was right in front of me. I just thought the photograph on the truck was so cute.

Nutcracker-Sold Out

This is the Carroll County Arts Council on Main Street in Westminster. We were there to see Walt Michael and Company. The arts council provides opportunities to view art, see concerts, and take art classes. It is a wonderful asset to Westminster. But no Nutcracker for me this year-it's sold out!

Christmas Lights

Driving is a treat after dark right now with all of lights. I'll miss them in the dead of winter.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

The Westminster Fire Department brings Santa around to the local neighborhoods on a fire engine. The neighbors all listen for the annual sirens that signal that Santa is on his way. Then we all go outside to wave to Santa as he rides by. Firefighter helpers ride along with Santa and give out candy canes to the children. We look forward to this tradition every year.

Welcome Home

Another rainy night in Westminster, but this snowman remains cheerful with the holiday spirit.

Music, Music, Music

On a very rainy night in Westminster, we were entertained by the lively music of Cynthia MacLeod and Jon Matthews. Both musicians hail from PEI. (Prince Edward Island, Canada)

World's Best Balloon Animal

My daughter got this at the Town Mall of Westminster when we went to see Santa. It is one of the best balloon animals I have ever seen.

Leaves!

This is the time of year for playing in the leaves. At least until the snow flies!
