I just like the look of these two old Westminster buildings, and the blue blue sky above. The Samuel C. Hoff Agency is apparently a Real Estate Office.
The sign next to the trailer reads "Carroll County Emergency Services Training Center". It struck me as humorous when I saw this sign by the trailer. Or I should say the trailer next to the sign. The trailer is really for a new construction site, and the training center is back a road to the right.
The way the fields look at this intersection of Rt 32 and 97 always reminds me of the opening shot of the film Brokeback Mountain. I'll have to try shooting this scene again on a different day when the sun is a bit higher in the sky.
I must drive through this intersection all of the time, and this is the first time I noticed this door. I would stop by and ask the purpose of this door, but..umm...I'm not sure how to do that.
This is the Carroll County Arts Council on Main Street in Westminster. We were there to see Walt Michael and Company. The arts council provides opportunities to view art, see concerts, and take art classes. It is a wonderful asset to Westminster. But no Nutcracker for me this year-it's sold out!
The Westminster Fire Department brings Santa around to the local neighborhoods on a fire engine. The neighbors all listen for the annual sirens that signal that Santa is on his way. Then we all go outside to wave to Santa as he rides by. Firefighter helpers ride along with Santa and give out candy canes to the children. We look forward to this tradition every year.
I have followed the Antigua Daily Photo Blog for several years. Then I started reading other travel and adoption blogs. I thought it was time to try out my own.
